pls subscribe www.youtube.com Well, that was exciting. We just watched the original Batmobile sell for a shocking 20000, after all fees have been assessed. That makes this the most expensive vehicle sold (so far) here at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson car auction. Impressive. The Batmobile was joined on stage by George Barris himself, who had previously been the car’s only owner. It was, to put it mildly, a mad house. The original 19-foot-long black, bubble-topped car used in the 1960s “Batman” TV show sold at auction Saturday. The Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. in Scottsdale, Ariz., revealed the selling price but says the winning bidder has not been disclosed. The car’s owner — auto customizer George Barris, of Los Angeles — transformed a one-of-a-kind 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car into the sleek crime-fighting machine. It boasted lasers and a “Batphone” and could lay down smoke screens and oil slicks. The iconic car was used by Adam West who starred as the Caped Crusader and by Burt Ward, his sidekick Robin known for exclamations beginning with –”Holy.” Barris’ publicist says his client is pleased with the auction result.

2012 COPO Camaro to be up for auction – Autoweek TV

I’m Natalie, getting your Halloween off to a sweet start with an all-SEMA edition of Autoweek TV. Now, on to the treats: Chevy stormed into last year’s SEMA show with the return of the COPO Camaro, a factory-built drag race car. This year, Chevy said it would close out the run of 2012 COPO Camaros in high style by putting the last car—one of only two convertibles in the batch—up for sale at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January. The COPO convertible packs a 327 V8 with a Whipple supercharger. Chevy also confirmed that it will produce another run of 69 COPO Camaros for 2013. That’s appropriate for a show that puts you in Las Vegas on Halloween. Kia rolled out a Koup styled like the Flash, a Soul designed with a Green Lantern appearance, an Aquaman Rio and a Cyborg Soul. They were fortified with a Batman Optima shown earlier to round out the Justice League theme. Three more superheroes cars will be revealed at other auto shows.
