Safety and security are top priorities at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and recently, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and the Phoenix Fire Department took delivery of a new fire truck at Fire Station 29. The new truck is a 4,500 gallon 8 x 8 Oshkosh foam truck which specializes in aircraft rescue and fire fighting.

With changes in the technology of the trucks over the years, Fire Deputy Chief Elizabeth Hendel said it is important to remain up-to-date. “We are keeping up with latest technology in Aircraft Rescue and we are here for the safety of our travelers,” she said.

The truck was purchased from money that comes from the 9-11 security fee on airline tickets and is the first of three trucks that will be arriving at Phoenix Sky Harbor in the coming years to replace an aging fleet.

The Phoenix Fire Department has two fire stations that serve Phoenix Sky Harbor. The on-airport locations are important in the event of an aircraft emergency or fire at the facility, but firefighters provide a number of other services at Sky Harbor, such as responding to medical calls and providing training on CPR and proper use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). More than 2,000 Airport employees and volunteer Navigators have received the training

Charging from 0 to 50 mph (80 km/h) within 35 seconds, the Oshkosh Striker 4500 is custom engineered to offer the ultimate in rapid emergency response. The styling tells you immediately this ARFF truck is built to answer the call.

The Striker 4500 combines unequalled mobility with excellent maneuverability, a smooth, stable ride and easy operation. The custom cab delivers driver comfort and outstanding visibility. And all systems are designed to support the highest levels of efficiency and safety. With the Striker 4500, Oshkosh continues to set the industry standard for excellence.

Phoenix (AZ), 04 May 2013 - Solar Impulse, the solar airplane of Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, successfully launched the “Clean Generation” initiative by completing the first leg of the 2013 Across America mission – the first crossing of the United States by a solar-powered airplane capable of flying day and night.Pilot Bertrand Piccard took off from Moffett Airfield at NASA’s Ames Research Center (CA) at 06:12 AM PDT (UTC-7) and, after a 18 hours and 18 minutes flight from southern California, over the Mojave National Preserve and into Arizona, he landed the HB-SIA prototype at 00:30 AM MST (UTC-7) at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport. This is the first of five legs that will lead the project’s co-founders, Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, to alternately fly the solar airplane coast-to-coast from California to New York.By crossing the United States André Borschberg and Bertrand Piccard are launching the “Clean Generation” initiative – a global awareness-raising movement advocating for greater investment in innovative technologies for sustainable energy production and use. Thousands of Supporters worldwide have joined the movement and their names will be virtually brought by the pilots across America by means of a USB key – and with every stopover more will be added. All those interested in being part of this movement of influencers can sign up here.“We’ve been dreaming about crossing the United States for years – the land of scientific research, innovation and aviation pioneers – and it’s hard to believe it’s really happening.” said André Borschberg (Co-Founder, CEO and pilot of Solar Impulse) and Bertrand Piccard (Initiator, Chairman and pilot of Solar Impulse) as they walked down the runway. “We are thrilled to have safely and successfully completed this first leg and we weren’t alone: thousands of names of our supporters virtually accompanied us. With them, we launched the “Clean Generation” initiative promoting clean technologies.”

A number of events will be organized during the Phoenix stopover including visits open to the public on Sunday May 5th and Tuesday May 7th. Because the solar airplane will be in a secured airport zone, the spaces available will be limited in accordance with airport security rules. People have to register in advance for Sunday 5th May through http://solarimpulseatphoenixonsunday.eventbrite.com/ and for Tuesday 7th May through http://solarimpulseatphoenixontuesday.eventbrite.com/.

About Solar Impulse
Swiss pioneers Dr Bertrand Piccard (Chairman) and André Borschberg (CEO) are the founders, pilots and the driving force behind Solar Impulse, the first airplane that can fly day and night without fuel. Solar Impulse is a unique adventure that aims to bring emotions back at the heart of scientific exploration, a flying laboratory to find innovative technological solutions for today’s challenges and a vision to inspire each of us to be pioneers in our everyday lives.

This revolutionary carbon fibre airplane has the wingspan of a Boeing 747 (63.4m / 208 ft) and the weight of a small car (1,600kg / 3,527 lb). It is the result of seven years of intense work, calculations, simulations and tests by a team of about 80 people and 100 partners and advisors. A plane so big and light has never been built before. The 12,000 solar cells built into the wing provide four 10HP electric motors with renewable energy. By day the solar cells recharge the 400kg / 881 lb lithium batteries which allow the plane to fly at night.

How to Make Videos That Sell

By Shannon Herod

Video marketing is a fantastic way to drive traffic to your website and make sales. But, it is sometimes difficult to understand how to make a video that actually sells. So, in this article I want to discuss three ways you can improve your video marketing response by just adding a couple techniques into your videos.

1. The Lower Third

Whenever you produce your videos and upload them to the major video sharing sites, you want to make sure that you always include a lower third in your videos.

A lower third is simply a way to brand your website in the video. All you need to do is add your website link in the lower portion of the video. Here is an example of what I’m talking about. Imagine your video is split into three parts. The first part being your head the second part being your body, and the third part being the lower region of the video.

It is in that third area, the lower region of the video, that you want to put your website address.

Make this visible throughout the entire video. This will greatly increase your chances of getting people to click through and go to your website. Or if there is no way for them to click through they can then remember that website and manually go to it.

2. Your Website Address Http://www.videoscottsdale.com goes first in description.

Whenever you are doing your video you want to make sure that you say your website address multiple times throughout the video. This is how I like to do it and have been getting really good results with it. When I start the video I state my name and my website address, that is telling them who I am and where I’m from. Then, I will continue with what I need to say. At about the halfway point I will remind them again what websites you go to to get more information

Then, when I am finishing up the article I tell them to go to my website for more information. The very last mention of your website is the most important. You want to make sure that you include a call to action. Don’t simply tell them your website address is so-and-so. You want to make sure that you tell them to go to your website.

3. Do Not Bore the Audience Limit to 2 min.

You want to make sure that you are somewhat entertaining in your videos. The best way to do this is to be quick, concise, and to the point. The faster you speak the more people pay attention to you. I do not know the psychology behind that but it works.

So, whenever you are recording a video you want to make sure that you talk at an above average pace.

There are just just three techniques I use to increase conversions in my videos. You can rearrange your videos in many different ways. So, I would suggest experimenting and figure out what works best for you. The main point here though is that you start. Start making your videos so you can start driving traffic and sales to your websites.

Next, if you want to discover how to create killer videos that convert into cash go check out my Video Marketing [http://www.affiliatevideomastery.com/] site right now.

Plus, if you want to learn how to create videos that will make you money without putting your mug on a camera check out the video at our Video Marketing [http://www.affiliatevideomastery.com/] site.

Video Marketing – How to Make Videos That Get Results

By Deb LaQua

Video marketing is one of the hottest ways to get the word out on the internet, and if you aren’t using videos in your online business, you will be left behind fast. You don’t want to make just any video, though. You want to learn how to make videos that get results. There are some important decisions you will need to make for your video marketing campaigns. Here are some questions you must answer in the video production phase – the answers will be different depending upon the purpose of your video, and what your market has learned to expect.

The first consideration when you look at how to make videos that are effective in your niche is the length of the video. You can find videos online that run from just a few seconds to over an hour in length. The average video watched online is under 5 minutes, so if you plan to make a longer video, be certain that it is compelling, gives great information, and that viewers in your market have learned to watch longer videos. A good question to ask yourself is “How long is long enough?” and do your best to get your message across in the shortest time possible.

Another place you can create problems for yourself in your video marketing is around autostarting your video. Sure, using autostart (so the video begins playing automatically as soon as the visitor goes to your page) is one way to be sure that people see it – at least the first few seconds! But if your audience tends to browse the internet in search of information during work hours, you’ll want to be careful that they don’t go to your page and all of a sudden their workplace is startled by your enthusiastic opening words blasting out of a computer. Your potential customer will likely hit their back button instantly to shut off the disruption, and may even get in trouble for visiting your site during work hours. Use autostart in your video marketing carefully.

Will your videos show information about the video during playback, such as how long the video is, and time elapsed? Will you give your audience controls on the video player that allow them to pause, stop, or even jump to a particular spot in the video? Again, these are strategic questions in your video marketing. For example, if you have a carefully crafted sales message you are presenting in your video, you don’t want your audience to skip over the key points and just go to the end to see the price. So in that type of sales video, you will want to limit the controls available on the video player.

However, the answer is different if your video is a content-filled video designed to support a product already purchased, or to give useful information to your prospects in order to build a relationship with them. In these cases, giving your audience more control over the video might be better, so they can go back to re-watch a critical part, pause the video to take notes, or even allow them to use a Table of Contents in the video to go directly to the issue they are trying to solve.

You can also control what happens at the end of a video. For example, you might set it to start over automatically, or to simply stop and leave the viewer on the same page. Another option is to take your viewer to another page automatically at the end of the video. This is used often in sales videos, where the viewer is taken to an order page or ‘more information’ page after they have watched the video.

These are just a few of the decisions you must make when you consider how to make videos that work well in your business, and in your video marketing plans. A lot of the videos out there today are bad examples, and they also include some or all of the other most common video mistakes. To see if you make these common mistakes in your online video marketing, go to http://CamtasiaForOnlineMarketers.com and give yourself a headstart in your video marketing efforts.
